Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AML Officer to join their Operational Risk & Control team. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the organisation's AML/CFT control environment through quality assurance checks, client risk assessments, and supporting compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality assurance testing for the Client Risk Assessment and Trigger Event Review processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, reporting findings in structured written and verbal formats.
  • Analyse trends from findings and provide expert support on Customer Risk Assessment and Trigger Event Review frameworks.
  • Review and escalate AML/CFT breaches as necessary.
  • Support the development and strengthening of AML knowledge across client services teams.
  • Actively contribute to process updates and explore automation opportunities.
  • Proactively engage with staff to address issues and implement solutions according to policies and procedures.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of Client Risk Assessment and Trigger Event Review processes (desirable).
  • Experience in AML/CFT compliance (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of working to tight deadlines with a proactive and solutions-based approach.
