Our client is seeking an Assistant Compliance Manager for their Jersey office.
Duties of the role will include but not be limited to undertaking Compliance Monitoring, providing administrative and technical support to the Compliance team, assisting with Advisory and AML duties to assist the Compliance Management team, completion and/or maintenance of a Business Unit specific Regulatory Universe, providing advice to management, relevant committees, the embedded business risk management function and employees, in order to effectively manage compliance issues, analyse and identify compliance risks, undertaking Compliance Monitoring including scoping, testing and compiling reports, co-ordinating Compliance training, and remaining aware of relevant regulatory & legislative developments, and practices of regulatory authorities.
The successful candidate will ideally be a university graduate with at least one year’s experience working in a financial institution, or alternatively a non-graduate, with at least three years' experience working in a Financial institution. You will either be in possession of, working towards, or willing to obtain a relevant professional qualification such as ICA Diploma, CAMS, or CISI, and have a solid understanding of banking products and activities, and associated regulatory frameworks.
