Our client is currently seeking a hardworking and personable individual with previous bookkeeping experience. The main purpose of this role is to maintain accounting records for client companies and trusts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with accountants and administrators to ensure the delivery of timely and accurate bookkeeping for clients.
- Preparing client accounts.
- Preparing and submitting VAT and tax returns.
- Processing and preparing invoices.
- Ensuring invoices are settled in a timely manner.
- Liaising with clients to ensure needs are met and to maintain a strong working relationship.
- Processing transactions.
- Bookkeeping up to trial balance.
- Dealing with audit queries.
- Reconciling bank statements, ledgers and loans.
- Maintaining and building records.
- Dealing with any queries and contacting clients as necessary.
Knowledge, experience and skills:
- Previous experience within a similar position with in-depth knowledge of double entry bookkeeping.
- Able to build strong working relationships with clients, colleagues and third parties.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyse financial information.
- Friendly, approachable and personable manner.
