COMPLIANCE MANAGER / MLRO / DPO | ref.MF935
An innovative and expanding business working within the cryptocurrency space is currently seeking a Compliance Manager and MLRO to join their busy and growing team.
You will be meticulous, motivated, and ready for a new challenge with in-depth knowledge of Isle of Man financial regulation and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Being the designated MLRO and Data Protection Officer.
Conducting annual risk assessments, incorporating conclusions into processes and policies.
Being the ultimate point of contact for AML and Data Protection queries, responsible for reporting suspicious activity and any breaches of data protection legislation.
Conducting compliance monitoring of key risk mitigating controls in the company risk framework, reporting any deficiencies to the relevant business area, and closing any gaps.
Managing interactions with Isle of Man Regulatory and Enforcement Authorities.
Creating and updating guidelines, policies, instructions, and routines within the field of AML/CTF and Data Protection.
Constantly driving improvement in AML efficiency and risk management.
Sharing knowledge and educating staff on ML/TF risks and regulatory requirements, providing information and training to support ongoing competence throughout the company.
Advising the Board on the regulatory landscape in the cryptocurrency field including new and emerging developments.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have previous experience as an MLRO or Deputy MLRO and will be able to display a compelling interest in compliance best practice.
Hold the ICA Diploma in Anti Money Laundering or equivalent.
In depth knowledge of IOM financial regulatory regulations.
A pragmatic approach to new and developing technologies.
A confident communicator with the ability to educate and lead a Compliance team.
Comfortable working in a fast-changing Fintech world.
