CREDIT CONTROLLER | ref.MF49

An interesting new opportunity has arisen with a supportive and collaborative team. The purpose of this role is to collect debts in line with team business objectives and team goals.  Assist in the creation of plans and strategies for collecting debts. Ensure legal compliance of your work whilst creating a positive, fair, and professional approach to customers where debt has become an issue and supporting the development of debt recovery plans.  This role is fundamental to the success of the business and will be required to work in collaboration with the rest of the Credit Control Team and other teams as appropriate across the business. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Work hard to ensure collection targets are regularly achieved and maintained.

Contact customers and informing them of their overdue bills.

Advise customers of their payment options and suggesting methods of payments.

Maintain customer payment records.

Monitor payment of overdue bills and outstanding debts; liaising with others in the team to ensure the most effective of customer approaches. 

Negotiating suitable payment plans to facilitate payments/creating repayment plans.

Contacting customers through inbound, outbound calls and emails to collect debts.

Working in collaboration with the ‘legal collections’ function.

Following legislative guidelines and the Privacy Act, ensuring excellence in customer service.

Contributing to the design and development of the “Credit Control Portal,” the bespoke system used by the credit control department for customer collections.

Exceptional people person, with demonstrable experience dealing with difficult customers.

Understands how exceptional customer service or sales results can be achieved.

Is passionate about the business and their service standards. 

Desirable:

Previous credit control experience.
