Our client is seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Engineer to join their dynamic team in Isle of Man. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring data quality, integrity, and security. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines
- Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders
- Implementing data models, databases, and ETL processes
- Optimising and tuning data pipelines for performance and efficiency
- Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security
- Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues
- Monitoring and managing data warehouse and big data environments
- Applying the latest technologies and trends in data engineering
The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, and knowledge of cloud platforms and services. Preferred qualifications include experience with containerisation and orchestration tools, knowledge of data governance and compliance practices, familiarity with machine learning frameworks and tools, and certification in cloud technologies.
