MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT | ref.MF998
We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Management Accountant to join our client’s busy Accounts team.
The role holder will be qualified or nearly qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and will assist with preparing management accounts, supporting the operations team through the provision of data analytics and providing accounting support to the Group Finance Director and external suppliers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Preparation of weekly and monthly profit estimates (forecasts).
Preparation of full monthly management accounts.
Perform monthly balance sheet reviews and balance sheet reconciliations.
Production of monthly fixed asset reports.
Maintain control and suspense accounts.
Assist senior management with preparation of the Group VAT returns.
Preparation of annual financial statements and assist with the year end audit.
Production of weekly KPI reports.
Monitor compliance with financial procedures and report on exceptions to Senior Management Accountant / Finance Director.
Process routine journals to the accounts package.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualified or nearly qualified in a recognised accounting qualification e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
Ideally 3-5 years relevant experience in a similar environment.
Strong knowledge of Excel, databases and business systems.
A confident communicator, both in spoken and written word.
Versatile approach to the use of Excel, ability to manipulate, analyse and report on large data sets.
Ability to manage internal and external relationships across suppliers.
Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.
Calm, confident and professional manner.
