RISK AND COMPLIANCE MANAGER | Ref M2626

An opportunity has arisen for a Risk and Compliance Manager to join our client in a broad, hands-on role with responsibility for oversight of compliance and risk across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure ongoing compliance with Isle of Man legislation, regulation and applicable codes of practice.
• Identify areas of compliance and operational risk and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Deliver and maintain a structured compliance and risk monitoring programme.
• Maintain clear tracking and reporting of issues, actions and open risks.
• Maintain and update compliance and risk policies and procedures, including annual reviews.
• Coordinate regulatory queries, referrals and responses in a timely manner.
• Lead regulatory visits and inspections, including preparation and follow up.
• Promote risk awareness and support a positive compliance culture across the business.
• Maintain and analyse risk data to support reporting to senior management.
• Oversee the incidents and events framework, including root cause analysis and reporting.
• Deliver compliance training to new and existing staff.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Relevant professional qualification or at least five years’ experience in Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit or Legal.
• Strong working knowledge of the Isle of Man FSA Rule Book and the AML CFT Code as applied to investment business and insurance intermediaries.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
• Experience delivering training and providing practical guidance to the business.
