RISK OFFICER | ref.MF881

We currently have an interesting opportunity available with an award-winning international investment business for an experienced Risk Officer.

You will be responsible for assisting the Head of Risk & Compliance in all aspects of conformance, ensuring adherence to laws, regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures, and for coordinating the management of all risks identified.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Maintaining working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework, ensuring the Business Unit aligns and implements its requirements on a timely basis.

Providing pragmatic and practical interpretation, guidance, and advice to the business.

Assisting in the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of Business Unit’s ‘risk appetite’.

Assisting in the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of clear and concise policies, procedures, and standards for preventing, detecting, and correcting non-compliance with risk management controls.

To input into the Risk & Compliance Monitoring Programme, ensuring risk controls are tested for adequacy and effectiveness.

Assisting in the provision of accurate management information and reports to Regulators, Boards, and committees.

Providing support, education, and training for staff to nurture a risk and compliance culture across the business.

Assisting with the requirements of Regulators, Group Internal Auditors, and other assurance providers.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will ideally:

Hold or be willing to work towards a relevant professional qualification.

Have demonstrable experience in risk and compliance functions, ideally within the fund industry.

Have knowledge of regulatory framework and requirements.

Possess broad-based knowledge of the offshore financial services industry.

Be self-motivated and well organised with the ability to adapt and tackle a wide variety of challenges.
