The role holder will work closely with and undertake technical direction from the Managing Director to ensure smooth application of the Training & Competency regime to high level standards. To monitor and develop the Financial Services team to achieve objectives and ensure the highest level of advice is provided to clients.
•To demonstrate and apply technical skills, market and product knowledge to a level that will support business development.
•To support a team environment that encourages the sharing of ideas and best practice.
•To understand the practical application of the Isle of Man Anti Money Laundering Guidance Notes and how this will impact clients of the business.
•Identify and promote cross-selling opportunities within the business and Group.
•Promote the business externally through social and networking activities.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
•Proven experience gained at a senior level within an IFA, banking or regulatory environment with a highly developed understanding and knowledge of all areas of financial planning.
•Experience in training, coaching and constructive feedback.
•Well-developed written communication skills, able to construct logical, clear and concise documentation appropriate to given audience.
•Understand current regulations and how they apply to clients.
•Courage to challenge status quo.
•Accountability and ownership.
•Adaptable to change.
Minimum Level 4, or equivalent, relevant qualification with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a supervisory/managerial role.
