SOCIAL MEDIA & SEO ASSISTANT | ref.MF16

An opportunity has arisen within our client’s Marketing Team for a confident and motivated individual to join as a Social Media and SEO Assistant on a contract up to 12 months long.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing Services and Communications, this role will be responsible for creating content for our client’s various social media pages, as well as increasing engagement and helping to maintain the client’s brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Creating engaging content for multiple social media platforms, that include LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, in line with brand guidelines.

Monitoring and engaging with social media audiences to encourage positive reviews and further engagement.

Increasing follower base across all social media channels.

Carry out keyword research to identify relevant key words the client wants to rank for.

Monitor internal and external links to the website.

Keeping up to date with social media trends and developments.

Helping to maintain – and looking for opportunities to improve - our client’s online brand reputation.

Creating monthly Search Engine Ranking Page reports for all brands to monitor online reputation.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Have experience of using all the main SM channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.

Have a basic understanding of how search works, a knowledge of SERPs and a familiarity with basic SEO principles.

Experience of working in digital marketing is preferred but not essential.

Have a good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Some knowledge of SEO tools like Google Analytics/Webmaster tools, SEMrush, google trends etc.

Photoshop would be an advantage but is not essential.

Demonstrate they are keen to learn, have strong organisational skills and are highly motivated.
