TEST ANALYST | Ref M2633

THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Test Analyst to play a key role in ensuring their systems work as intended before they go live. The successful candidate will be involved in reviewing requirements, designing test scenarios, executing tests, and reporting results. You will have the opportunity to be involved in projects throughout the software development lifecycle and to help build in quality. This is a strong opportunity to gain hands on experience in software testing and develop technical and analytical skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review and testing sign-off of requirements and design specifications
• Creation of formal test documentation, including Test Plans and Completion Reports
• Test design, execution, defect management and monitoring
• Ensuring full traceability of testing to requirements and specification
• Progress reporting to Test Lead or Manager and project stakeholders
• Creation of reusable, automatable test cases for regression

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work collaboratively, or on own initiative, and deliver to tight deadlines
• Experience with using Gherkin syntax for test case design
• ISTQB Foundation certificate in Software Testing
• Minimum 2 years’ experience of testing
• Experience of the Finance domain, and Life and Pensions in particular, is an advantage
• Experience of test automation is an advantage
• A genuine interest in technology and software testing
